We’re thrilled you’re here!  Proudly, we offer locally made, quality art and craft, funky antiques and other quirky items with pleasing price tags.  We hope that you will take a moment to poke around our site, and be so inspired that you’ll take a ride and visit our beautiful, new shop. We are located in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom in downtown St. Johnsbury VT.

The sluggish economy is on all of our minds these days so we have taken it upon ourselves to do our part in designing a business model that supports artists and consumers.  Often artists are hit with a 50% commission from a gallery where their work is being sold.  We believe that this model negatively effects the consumer as well as the artist.  The price tag is often over-inflated to compensate for the 100% mark up which can discourage careful shoppers.

Here at the Artful Eye, we ask our artists for an embarrassingly low amount of rent which is determined by a sliding scale and then just 10% of the selling price.  This allows the artist to take home more of what they make.  Our goal is to showcase at least 100 artists.  We have 4500 square feet, so this is easily accomplished.  We are still looking for qualified artists to join our shop.
